OVERVIEW

We are looking for individuals with excellent communication skills and a positive ‘can do’ attitude to provide superior customer service, security and protection for our client sites.

We are currently looking for one Full Time Security Officer and one Casual Security Officer. The shift schedule is as followed:
Monday-Friday 0800-1600
Saturday & Sunday 1600-2400

Duties Include:

  • Provide superior customer service to our client and their valued customers;
  • Manage access control to the site, report unusual activities and occurrences;
  • Proactively respond and resolve emergency situations and conflicts, independently;
  • Clearly write daily logs and reports of all incidents;
  • Effectively communicate problems or concerns to the Site Supervisor;
  • Enforcement of internal loss prevention policies & guidelines;
  • Recording outbound/inbound trucks;
  • Patrols – as required;

Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Valid BC Security License is required; Or willing to obtain
  • Experience working in transportation or logistics environment is a huge asset;
  • Fluent English written, verbal and reading skills;
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment;
  • Detail oriented – able to follow strict policies and procedures;

 

  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to handle emergency situations in a calm and professional manner;
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills;
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in varying situations;
  • Physically fit and able to stand/walk for long periods, complete bike patrol and easily go up and down stairs;
