Approximately two years ago, Commissionaires offered a donation towards the production of a plaque to commemorate Col. Cy Peck, a World War One veteran, Canadian politician and Prince Rupert pioneer.

The plaque was completed and displayed in the Prince Rupert Royal Canadian Legion Hall, with plans to prepare a site to mount the plaque. This past week, the plaque was finally put on display at Kwinitsa Station in Prince Rupert. The local Rotary Club arranged for a ceremony to honour Col. Peck and permanently display the plaque.

Members from the Rotary Club, the Prince Rupert Chamber of Commerce, Mayor Lee Brain and commissionaire Peter Allen-Reid are pictured above with the plaque.
