A Wreath Laid in London on Behalf of Corps of Commissionaires

As Armistice Day this year was the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War, the Corps was represented in the official British Legion Veterans parade at the Cenotaph, Whitehall, London. On invitation from the Army Cadet League of BC (ACL BC), Secretary Major Ken Usher, Commissionaire Ambassador Jim Billinger andSenior Talent Acquisition Specialist, Tara Wooster presented a 20 minute briefing at the their AGM on Saturday, October 20, 2018 in Chilliwack. Commissionaires at Abbotsford Police Foundation’s Crime is Toast Fundraiser!

Our team had a blast on October 24 at the 4th annual fundraising event Crime is Toast hosted by the Abbotsford Police Foundation. This event is held each year to help raise funds in support of APD’s community programs. Building on the success from last year’s event, the APF hopes to achieve a fundraising goal of $75,000. Every dollar donated to the APF helps ensure APD special initiatives are a success.
