PAST SEMINARS

THREAT RISK ASSESSMENTS

Overview

Completing threat and risk assessments is a daily occurrence for many entities, and is a critical element of risk management and security governance. Risk assessments require an in-depth understanding of business operations, as well as a level-of-resilience to daily and potential longer-term threats. In today’s environment, security is judged not only on how it safeguards business, but how it enables profitable day-to-day operations.

This one-day seminar will address the concepts of threat, risk and vulnerability as well as how they work together across several formats. It will identify effective assessment methodologies that support the assessor’s objectives, observations and findings. As well, it will facilitate the development of practical and effective recommendations for security enhancements.

This seminar will draw on the experience of The Banks Group Inc., their work in the ASIS International Physical Security Council and recognized leading practices within the security environment. By the end of this session, participants will have a template to assist them in their organization’s threat and risk mitigation efforts.
