OVERVIEW

We are currently hiring a Mobile Patrol Officer that will work in a challenging, yet rewarding environment. Reporting to the Site Supervisor, the Mobile Patrol Officer will conduct regular patrols within the Tri-Cities area, ensuring the safety and security of people and property.

Some of your tasks include;

  • Conducting regular vehicle and foot patrols
  • Unlocking/locking gates and checking surrounding areas
  • Responding to alarms
  • Ensuring that all incidents are properly recorded in the occurrence log/incident form
  • Contacting and liaising with police personnel if necessary
  • Closely observe parking lots, stations, and platforms to eliminate as much as possible and report any occurrences immediately.
  • Provide superior customer service to clients and general public.
  • Maintain ongoing knowledge of and perform all duties with high safety standards.

 

Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

Must Have’s;

  • To be successful you must have resided in Canada for the last five years and not been out of the country for more than six months at a time in order to complete required security clearances.
  • Have demonstrated interest and experience in serving the public.
  • Hold a valid BC Security License and Occupational First Aid Level 1.
  • Hold a valid BC Driver’s license.
  • Have a clean driver’s abstract.
  • Fluent English written and verbal skills.
  • Positive attitude with professional demeanour and strong interpersonal/customer service skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail to fulfill job duties and incident report writing.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to handle emergency situations in a calm and professional manner.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in varying situations.
