Newton BIA Safety Patrol Featured in CBC News

Our Newton BIA Safety Patrol team is working hard to create a visible presence in the Newton area, deal with homelessness and shoplifting, and looks for services for people who are vulnerable in the community. The crime prevention program is due for renewal in the new year. Surrey council is reviewing whether the program has been successful in Newton. For the full article, click here.  

Coffee with a Cop

Members of our Newton BIA Patrol team participated in Coffee with a Cop at Espresso Cafe in Newton on Friday, November 25, 2016. Our team, along with members of the RCMP, discussed safety and community issues with members of the Newton community.

Adrian Oliver Memorial Run

On Sunday, November 13, 2016, Commissionaires BC sponsored and participated in the Adrian Oliver Memorial Run. This is the fourth year in a row that we have participated in this run, which is an event held in memory of Constable Adrian Oliver, an RCMP Officer that was killed in the line of duty. Remembrance Day 2016

Commissionaires BC participated in various Remembrance Day events across the province, including Aboriginal Veterans Day on November 8, and Remembrance Day ceremonies in Vancouver, Kelowna and Prince Rupert, to honour all those who served and continue to serve our country. This year, we donated blankets to keep our veterans warm during the ceremonies.
